Pulp Design Studios

I just adore Beth of Hello, Splendor. She has such a lovely blog and writes about such great topics every day. She announced yesterday that she is focusing on her design career and is now working full-time at her own company called Pulp Design Studios. Check out some of her work below.
Aren't these rooms fabulous? She and her business partner, Carolina Gentry are based out of Dallas, TX. From their website: "With almost 20 years of combined interior design experience, they have leveraged their talents to work on projects ranging from luxury apartments in New York City to small local residences on a budget." If you are in the market for some interior design, don't forget to check these ladies out!

Winter Wonderland

Just wanted to share some festive holiday decor from my favorite blogs and shops! Who says you can't have gorgeous decorations without spending a lot? These are just homemade paper cut-out snowflakes and some carnations!

I love the vintage feel of these globe lights and the sweet simplicity of the doily mushroom ornament. Enjoy + have a happy Tuesday! (4 days till Christmas...!)

Bookshelf Inspiration

My parents just installed some new built-in shelving (it's just gorgeous!) in their family room as well as their library. My mom needs help filling them + making them look pretty, so I put together some inspiration from the fountain of inspiration that is Lonny magazine. Do you have any ideas to help her out??

Have a great day today!

Toast: AW2010 House + Home

The latest collection of House + Home products from UK company Toast is now available online. As I am in the middle of doing a bit of decorating in my bedroom, I thought I would share some of my favorite photos from their online catalog of these gorgeous, luxurious bedrooms with you. (I have never really thought about it, but the idea of coordinating my bathrobe with my bedding like they did in this collection is at the same time a bit over the top while still being really fun! Don't you think?)

Pretty Pink + Baby Blue

I love a palette of black + white + grey with pops of color to surprise the eye, and these workspaces do just that.

This outdoor space is just divine with the awning to shield the sun and the whimsical paper lanterns hanging above a clean table. And the pink mixed with the blue against all white is stunning!

I would LOVE to be in the kitchen if it looked like the above! How gorgeous is that retro look? And this bathroom looks so inviting, I want to climb into the photo and run a bubble bath!

Have a happy Tuesday!

Southern Charm

Happy Monday! Hope your weekend was good. I had the chance to finish up working on some bridal shower invitations for my sister, who lives in Greenville, SC and is hosting a party for her sister-in-law.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think they look southern (good thing since it is taking place in South Carolina!).

I just love the warm, inviting feeling that you get when you walk into a beautiful southern home. My sister's house is absolutely beautiful (my brother-in-law built...wish I had photos!). I really hope that people feel that way when they come into my home (even if it isn't in the South)!

Have a great day today!!

Rearrange and New Designs

Hello! Happy Thursday. Is it nice weather where you are? We have just had the most pleasant spring in Cincinnati. It rained last weekend and was a little cold, but that's to be expected--it's April for goodness sakes! So much sunshine though--helps make a good mood and a great attitude!

I have been busy trying to work on connecting with local events and local businesses to spread the word about my little company (I LOVE saying that...I don't, on the other hand, love sorting through everything and paying the taxes when April rolls around next year...haha.). I am wrapping up working with my first wedding invitation client. She was absolutely the sweetest bride and so great to work with. I will post photos once everything is finalized and printed! Can't wait!

I've also been trying to get my name out to local (or not local) high school seniors. I donated some graduation party invitations to the Afterprom Preview Silent Auction at my high school alma mater, Milford HS. And on top of that exposure, I was given the opportunity to set up a table with my graduation party products right next to where parents of juniors and seniors will be bidding! And I am taking that opportunity!:) If you know someone who would be interested in custom graduation party invitations or graduation announcements, please e-mail me! (bellacardco@gmail.com)

In other news, Patrick and I rearranged (for the second time in a month?) our living/working spaces. It is great for both of us (we found a new desk for Patrick for $40 at Target on clearance! don't you love a good deal?!). I would love it if my workspace looked like this:

Someday it will:)

Oh! One more thing! Remember how I partnered with Mary of Girls on the Run for a raffle? She reached her goal! BUT, you can STILL donate $5, which will enter you to win all kinds of sweet personalized stationery from Bella! Thanks everyone for supporting Mary!

Happy Thursday!

Hello and happy birthday to me:) I love celebrations, especially if I am getting presents! Not only is it my birthday today, it is also my grandma's birthday! So my mom, aunt, and myself are all going to take my grandma out for lunch to O'Charley's I believe. Then tonight I am going out with my Patrick and my parents somewhere...not sure yet where!! We were thinking seafood perhaps...any suggestions in Cincinnati? I love to go to local restaurants, but can't think of any local seafood joints (we're in the midwest after all!).

On Sunday, all my siblings and their spouses are coming over and we'll have another big celebration! I love it all!

Besides that, Palm Sunday and Easter are coming up...what are your favorite traditions?

Here are some neat tablescape ideas:

And don't forget about my free spring download here! Have a happy Thursday!!

{Repurposing}

I just started a twitter account for Bella Card Company (plug: follow here!) and started following some people/companies whose blogs are currently in my reader. I loved this article about reinventing things with DIY projects around the house that @ihearthandmade retweeted from @SunsetMag.

My personal favorites from the article were:

Plates become wall art...an artistic twist on displaying plates individually as art themselves--why not create a beautiful display using the plates collectively?

I've been looking for a traditional coat rack for some time now, so I really like this idea--a piece of driftwood becomes a place to hang your coat or bag. Looks very Pottery Barn-esque to me. Now if only I lived close to the ocean to find such a piece!

This is a terrific idea--utilizing a sliding closet area as a little office. I don't have any closets like this, but if I did, I think I know what I would do with it!

Simply gorgeous and elegant--but it's just a wire basket with a few votives and decorative accessories added! Lovely!

And this one is just some calendar images that were matted and framed. You could do this with anything--including cute little cards (like the ones I sell in my shop!)

Hope your week has been a good one!
